Pipelines for both drinking water and waste
water
The citizens of the smaller southern islands
of Funen, Skarø and Drejø, can now safely receive
pure water through their taps and an effective diversion of their
waste water. The islands have just been connected to the mains
supply in Svendborg. The drinking water and waste water are now
being transported in two pipelines that are embedded into the
seabed.
12 kilometres pipeline on the seabed: The submarine
pipeline runs 6 kilometres from Funen to Skarø and from
there it goes on for a futher 6 kilometres to the neighbouring
island of Drejø.
