Pipelines

JD-Contractor A/S has both as main contractor and subcontractor, carried out the laying, repairing and re-laying of all types of pipelines. From oil- and chemical pipelines to waste water outlets from water treatment plants and industries. We have also had great success with delivery and installation of water- and waste water pipes to many islands.

Since 1981 JD-Contractor A/S has had a service division which is solely concerned with carrying out inspections of existing water treatment plants.

This division has throughout the years prevented several damages.

JD-Contractor A/S has some of Scandinavia's largest high-pressure pumps, which enable us to clean J-tubes, pipelines, and outlets of any size and volume. Our equipment is attached to hydraulic derricks and thus is capable of reaching 400 metres into a pipeline or other object.

With our cable and lay barge Henry P. Lading we are capable of laying out flexible pipelines for water supply, ammonia, chemicals and oil. Besides our various vessels for laying and embedding pipes. JD-Contractor A/S also has a wide range of special equipment for assignments in connection with pipelines, such as diamant wire cutting machines etc.

To several islands we have delivered and installed pipes for both drinking water and waste water. We have had great deal of success in laying the two pipes in the same trench and with the same ballast which has led to big savings for the main contractor.

JD-Contractor A/S has established the first large lake restoration project in Furesøen. Through a pipe system pure oxygen is transported to three diffusers at the bottom of the deepest holes in the lake. The distribution of oxygen will reduce the number of polluting sediments in the water, including phosphor.
