For the first time two big parts of Denmark have a common water
pipeline. The pipeline is to function as an emergency supply in
case the water on Funen is polluted. The pipeline, which was laid
out by our cable laying barge Henry P. Lading, has a diameter
of 26 centimetres and an annual capacity of one million cubic
metres of water.
Our diving ships M/S Honte and C/S Cable One embedded
the pipeline into the seabed.
The major part of the embedding was carried out
by our remote-controlled ROV SUB-JET ONE, since the deepest position
is 46 meter below water level.
Approx. 1,150 metres of pipelines are laid out
and approx. 1,150 metres of fibre-optic cables are also laid out.
JD-Contractor A/S carried out the laying and embedding
of both the water pipeline and the fibre-optic cable.
