JD-Contractor A/S has high expectations for our new multi-flexible vessel and Self propelled multipurpose barge - S/B Victor

JD Crafts ApS has expanded its fleet with another vessel, a self-propelling barge named Victor, which was picked up in Southampton, England.

Victor is an excellent working vessel with overwhelming steerage. It has a length of 42 metres and a width of 9.5 metres.

Victor is equipped with 2 Schottel propellers and it is therefore extremely manoeuvrable. Victor has furthermore 2 supporting legs and a hydraulic crane that can lift 16 tonnes alongside the ship.

Victor can work in very low water, since the hull has a draught of only 0.5 metres and the Schottel propellers only extend about 1 metre when they are lowered.

Victor is particularly qualified for the following work:

Crane and mounting works with the existing crane, in which it is necessary to have a lot of space for the deck cargo, for example exchanging of power pylons, windmills and lighthouses at sea.

Laying and repair of submarine cables, both power cables and fibre optics cables. At our storage in Kalundborg we have a big coil tower, chute and cable capstan winch that quickly can be mounted on Victor.

Laying and ballasting of pipelines for drinking and waste-water pipes plus cable pipelines.

Embedding of cables and other diving tasks. We have complete diving systems and jetting and suction pumps that are containerized and therefore can be easily and quickly mounted on Victor.

If a hydraulic excavator or a hydraulic crane is taken onboard Victor, it can carry out the excavating of trenches for cables and pipelines on a hard seabed up to a water depth of 6 metres.
