Damage to submarine power cable between Femø and Fejø

By request of SEAS-NVE we immediately mobilized M/S Honte and our fleet system Unifloat and sailed straight towards the cable field north of Lolland.

The damage to the cable was located and repaired, and electricity restored to Femø from the electricity network of SEAS-NVE.

The damage to the submarine power cable was located in a cable joint which you can see on the picture to the right.

In February 2006 the diving vessel M/S Honte returned to the area between Femø and Fejø to embed the recently repaired cable. Approx. 380 metres of cables were embedded into the seabed.
