Cable repair of a 12 kV submarine cable between Sejerø and Ordrup Næs in the Kattegat

In the period between 2 and 7 September 2007, cable repair work on a 12 kV submarine cable connection between Sejerø and Ordrup Næs was carried out by JD-Contractor A/S.

The diving ship M/S Honte, which was assisted by the tugboat M/V Lille Björn and rubber boats, was hired to repair the damaged cable.

The cable repair work was successfully finished in only five days, excluding one day for mobilisation and demobilisation of the vessels and equipment.

A total of 72 metres of damaged submarine cables were cut off and a total of 80 metres of spare cables were spliced in.
