The ISPS code which is the international codex
for safety on board ships and in harbours provides an emergency
plan for preventing terror actions by approaching ships originating
from high risk countries.
All relevant personnel at JD-Contractor A/S have
been trained in terror prevention and reconnaissance of harbours
and ships to identify suspicious objects and risks.
The course was held by the internal course department
at JD-Contractor A/S which handles the education of personnel and
the keeping of our skills and knowledge up-to-date.
Apart from the above mentioned course, several
courses were arranged during the winter of 2003/2004, including
Trimix Diving, IT and Positioning & Maintenance. The final courses
on Geology & Soil-evaluation were held in April.
JD-Contractor A/S is the first private Danish company
to offer skilled divers that have been trained in terror-preventive
examinations of harbour facilities and ships entering or leaving
the harbour.
The examination procedure and the determination
of any necessary assistance can be planned in cooperation with JD-Contractor A/S which enters into dialog with the harbour authorities in order
to fulfil the requirements and the necessary extent of inspections
brought about by these requirements.
