Unifloat - floating stage
The floating stage consists of Unifloats as shown. The dimensions
of the floating stage are: 24.20 m long, 10.50 m wide and 1.60
m high. Without cargo and equipment it has a depth of only 0.25
m. The floating stage can be increased or reduced in size and
formed as required.

The floating stage is rigged with equipment for a derrick, crane
and machine containers. It also has equipment for the crew and for
laying out cables. The stage is assisted by our tugboat M/V Lille
Björn. Whilst operating, the floating stage is moved continually
forward by 4 anchor-winches. The floating stage operates at very
shallow depths. Even when fully loaded with containers and equipment
it is able to operate in 0.7 m of water. The floating stage is used
when submarine cables are being laid out and in the embedding of
cables. We have used the floating stage in Danish waters and in
the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Costa Rica. Recently, it has
been operating in the Bengali Ocean off the east coast of India.
