Diamond-wire saw

With our diamond-wire saw systems we are able to cut through any materials under water. They cut materials such as stone, concrete, iron, rustproof materials, plastic and composite materials.

Every year our diamond-wire saw systems cut through several pipes and other elements home and abroad.

Through severing, a perfectly clean cut is produced, narrow and straight. The diamond-wire saw systems are also used for the cutting of thick cables and pipes.

The picture above shows a pipe from a Caisson at an oil drilling rig
that has been cut through by our diamond-wire saw system.
The picture above shows a composite pipe made from a mixture
of stainless steel and polyethylene
that has been cut by the diamond-wire saw at a water depth of 27 metres.

The diamond-wire saw system is attached to the object by a diver or ROV. The saw is then remote controlled via cables from the surface until the object has been cut through.

The diamond-wire saw is able to cut through objects that are up to 1 metre thick, but can easily be expanded to operate on much larger objects. A similar system was used to cut the Russian nuclear submarine Kursk into several pieces.
