SUCTION UNITS
Our suction units are used if the trenching depth
has to be deeper than two metres, or if the seabed is very gravely
and/or consists of clay. For use on extremely hard and gravely sea
beds we have developed systems which are capable of cutting loose
the material in front of the suction device. The largest of the
suction devices can handle stones up to 50 cm.
All our jetting and suction machines:
| • |
Are placed loosely over the cables/pipelines and
are not attached to them in any way. |
| • |
Immediately cover the cables/pipelines so they are protected
against ice, current, waves, anchors, fishing tackle and corrosion.
|
| • |
Cannot damage the cables/pipelines in contrast to excavators,
ploughs and hydraulic machines. |
| • |
Are driven forward by water pressure alone. |
| • |
Can be containerised and quickly mobilized all over the world.
|
| • |
Are friendly to the environment and leave no permanent scars
on the seabed. |
All our systems are flexible and can swiftly be
adjusted to the conditions of the seabed. Under harsh conditions
they can be fitted on an undercarriage with caterpillar tracks.
This allows the different systems to operate on an uneven or undulating
surface.
