LIGHT-JETS
Our jetting units "LIGHT-JETS" are driven
over the seabed by water pressure. A steering device makes sure
that the jetting units do not move forward before the cable or the
pipeline is down at the right depth. The jetting units remove the
seabed material from cables/pipelines in such a way that for a distance
of 20 to 30 m a trench of up to 2 m in depth is made in the seabed.
The cable or the pipeline then submerges into the trench through
its own weight and the jetted material will settle down further
along the trench, and in that way cover the cable or the pipeline.
All our jetting and suction machines:
| • |
Are placed loosely over the cables/pipelines and
are not attached to them in any way. |
| • |
Immediately cover the cables/pipelines so they are protected
against ice, current, waves, anchors, fishing tackle and corrosion.
|
| • |
Cannot damage the cables/pipelines in contrast to excavators,
ploughs and hydraulic machines. |
| • |
Are driven forward by water pressure alone. |
| • |
Can be containerised and quickly mobilized all over the world.
|
| • |
Are friendly to the environment and leave no permanent scars
on the seabed. |
All our systems are flexible and can swiftly be
adjusted to the conditions of the seabed. Under harsh conditions
they can be fitted on an undercarriage with caterpillar tracks.
This allows the different systems to operate on an uneven or undulating
surface.
